Destination Management of the Český Krumlov Region
Mission
Destination Management of the Český Krumlov Region (DMO) provides professional services for the destination’s visitors, town citizens and its partners. It closely cooperates with its partners on local, regional, national and international level. Through joint and shared activities, it contributes to the Český Krumlov region in remaining a sought-after tourist destination, putting emphasis on the target tourist clientele, extending and increasing the number of stays of its visitors and involving a wider range of the city and the surrounding area in visitor programs. It systematically participates in the management of sustainable tourism development whilst considering the unique value of the Český Krumlov’s historical heritage.
DMO Český Krumlov, z.s. was founded in 2020. Its founding members are the Town of Český Krumlov, Český Krumlov Tourism Association and Český Krumlov Development Fund.
Activities
- Management and planning in the field of tourism
- Support and development of tourist products in the destination
- Contribution to image creation of the tourist destination, its promotion and sales
- Marketing and promotion of the destination (participation in professional trade fairs, workshops and presentations, organization of media FAM and press trips, cooperation with the media)
- Marketing support of various town events
- Administration and development of the destination’s official website presentation www.ckrumlov.info and the destination’s social networks (FB, Instagram)
- Development of human resources, educational and community activities (workshops and seminars for professionals and experts)
- Coordination of joint activities with the destination’s competent subjects (from public and private sectors), cooperation and communication with partners
- Monitoring the destination’s efficacy through analysis and statistical surveys
- Management of poster billboards in the historical centre of Český Krumlov
- Representation of the Český Krumlov Region destination in official tourist associations and organizations on local, national and international level
- Securing financial support of development projects, acquisition of funding for own projects
